Woodland Scene - Spring
Spring Panel of Woodland Scene:
The upper left panel depicts Spring, outside the arch. Male and Female Goldfinches are in the Oak Leaves. A Dragonfly has made an appearance over the lake. When the dragonflies first make their appearance it usually means that black fly season is almost over! One of our favorite signs of spring! The Sun is welcome anytime of the year, but really starts to warm things up after a long winter. The Maple Leaves, at the top of the arch, are just a little lighter in the spring than they will be in the summer. Other signs of spring include the Robin, Ladyslipper and Jack-in-the-Pulpit. Though toads can be found in other seasons I have chosen to place this Toad near the Jack-in-the-Pulpit. Inside the arch in the Woodland Scene there are three special critters. A Gray Squirrel and Pileated Woodpecker can be found on a birch tree while a Moose peers out from behind some bushes.
