Education
Haystack Mt. School of Crafts
Candace
participated in two ten-week sessions on stained glass in 1977-78. She
also attended Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, in Deer Isle, Maine
in 1981, for a three week session with Albinus Elskus, learning kiln-fired
painting on glass.
Though Haystack accounts for the only "formal" instruction,
the years since have been filled with learning. After working with glass
for over twenty years, each project continues to breed its own unique
challenges and Candace is able to adapt and evolve her techniques and
applications beyond imagination.
Adult
Education
Candace has gained a reputation for excellence in craftsmanship as
well as design and has been recruited to teach classes in stained
glass through a number of adult education programs. She has also given
workshops and lectures to elementary, high school and universities.
