Welcome
to Jackman's Glass Studio online.
Meet
the Artist, Candy Jackman!

My stained glass work offers people a way to add that special touch to their homes that will help to set
it apart from their neighbors'. While at the shows I spend a great deal of time educating the public. The reason I got into glass in the first place was because we were looking for a piece of stained glass for our log cabin and the only panels we found at antique shops or flea markets needed repair or were out of our price range.
My designs are greatly influenced by our lifestyle and definitely have a "Made in Maine" touch and
style. The loons that make David Pond their summer home have been very important to us and
we look forward to their return every spring. It is a sign that our pond is still environmentally safe and
healthy. The flowers and birds that are all around us have always provided inspiration, but I also
design pieces that though non-representational, geometric or flowing often have their inspiration from some minute detail found in the environment around us.
Quality of workmanship has always been vitally important. I continue to strive to improve with every
project. I enjoy working with people to design glasswork that will suit their particular space. When
exhibiting at the shows I try to offer potential clients examples of different types of designs with hopes of appealing to their particular lifestyle.
"If we all liked the same things, it would be a boring world."
